About The RNA Club
The Einstein RNA Club will host recurring year-long activities of Einstein RNA Seminars and a one-day Einstein RNA Symposium. Both the seminars and symposium will cover the broad aspects of RNA biology, including but not limited to transcription, translation, RNA processing, decay, localization, editing, folding, RNA-protein interaction, and novel technologies. We are committed to promoting the diversity in science, including career level, research, gender, and ethnic groups.
The Einstein RNA Seminars
The Einstein RNA Seminars feature on-campus junior scientists as well as researchers from other universities and institutions. The seminars will be held in hybrid format. Audience can choose to join in-person at the Forchheimer fifth floor lecture hall at Albert Einstein College of Medicine or via zoom. The Einstein speakers will present in-person while the guest speakers can present in-person or via zoom. Snacks and drinks will be provided to the in-person attendance to promote networking opportunities after the seminars. The seminars will be promoted on the Einstein RNA website and Twitter. If you want to be on the email list, please contact Weihan Li (weihan.li@einsteinmed.edu).
The Einstein RNA Symposium
The Einstein RNA Symposium will be a trainee-organized in-person event at the Robbins Auditorium at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Zoom option will be available to those who cannot participate in person. The one-day symposium will consist of four 90-min talk sessions, a 2-hour poster session, two coffee breaks and a lunch break. We expect to have two invited keynote speakers and 20 trainee speakers chosen from the submitted abstracts. Three poster awards will be given. The meeting will be promoted through the Einstein RNA website, posters, Twitter and LinkedIn. The symposium will provide a platform for the RNA biologists, especially early career scientists and trainees, in the greater New York area to present their work and connect with each other. The date of the symposium is TBD.
